A. The Maryland Department of Health (MDH) is seeks to replace the current garbage disposal and table located in the ‘Central Kitchen Building’ at Spring Grove Hospital Center, 55 Wade Avenue, Catonsville, Maryland. The current equipment needs to be removed and replaced with the installation of one (1) new trough collector unit and one (1) stainless steel table. This will meet health department for waste collection and staff safety. B. The Contractor shall be able to provide and implement the following: Conceptual site plan drawing Proposed equipment list Proposed Schedule of Work Copy of Bidders Safety Program for this type of work Cost of Proposal-Firm Fixed Price-Breakdown of materials, equipment, labor and services Bid Bind/Certificate of insurance C. Overall Scope a) Trough Conveying and Food Waste Collecting System: • Disconnect electrical power wiring and control wiring for the waste disposal. • Disconnect plumbing from the supply to the table waste disposal. • The Contractor will remove one (1) existing stainless steel table and deliver and install one (1) new stainless steel table. • Furnish and install a commercial Trough Conveying and Food Waste Collecting System (equivalent to Salvajor Model S419 • • ) to the custom table specified. • Procure and provide delivery of all equipment and auxiliary equipment necessary for removal and installation, as well as all utility connections. • Protect areas of operation, quarantine areas as needed, and meet health code requirements for commercial kitchen use during installation. • Contractor must remove and dispose of old equipment. • Contractor must provide and supervise licensed professionals (if applicable) for reassembly, installation, start-up, and training for operational use and maintenance of equipment. • Provide 3rd party electrical inspection, as needed. b) Stainless Steel Scraping Table Requirements: • To furnish and install a commercial grade stainless steel scraping table (9’ x 4’ with trough, grills, trough collector and water line access as noted in attached diagram) • Connections will be made to the existing plumbing for the unit, gusher heads and pre-rinse spray faucet. • Drain piping will be installed to the existing floor drain. • Provide new power line to equipment assuring that all power lines are raintight. • When complete, the units should be tested to assure all parts and equipment are working properly. • Any pipe or electrical connection protruding from the floor that is not used must be removed and sealed to the nearest junction box/cutoff.
