Advise on matters related to appellate deadlines, formatting of appellate submissions, and procedural requirements of the New York State and Federal appellate courts. 2. Knowledge of the Court’s written rules and Clerk’s internal procedural rules, specifically the New York State Appellate Division, Second Department. 3. Comprehensive appellate document preparation from start to finish: a. Document review and preparation, including formatting, indexing, pagination, headers etc. b. Printing and scanning of records and briefs c. Preparing covers, tables of contents, tables of authorities, headnotes, specification statements, certifications and all related and required appellate documents d. Perfecting bound books e. Electronic file production and review f. Review by Town of Record on Appeal and Appellate Brief prior to filing 4. Electronically file appellate documents and comply with all electronic filing requirements. 5. Track calendaring/due dates, oral arguments and decisions.
