A. Camera 1. Prior to commencing work, the Contractor shall submit a sample TV report sheet to the Project Representative for approval. 2. The inspection device, hereinafter called the "camera" shall be capable of providing a close-up view of sewer pipe walls, joints, service laterals, and manholes, through the turning and/or rotation of the lens, in pipes from 2.5 to 8 feet diameter. The camera system shall be a solid-state type for a color picture. a. 360 view cameras can also be provided but will not be at additional cost. b. Minimum 1080p high-definition video minimum 3. The camera shall have lighting suitable to allow a clear picture up to five (5) pipe diameter lengths away for the entire periphery of the sewer and not obscure or block the image. This lighting system shall provide uniform light free of shadows or hot spots regardless of the direction of the lens is pointed. Unusual or uncommon conditions shall be recorded on the video and report sheet. 4. The travel speed of the camera shall be uniform and not exceed 40 lineal feet per minute. At the Project Representative's or Contractor's discretion, the camera may be stopped and backed up to view and analyze conditions that appear unusual or uncommon to a sewer in sound condition. The camera shall be moved through the sewer in a downstream direction by means of self-propulsion, cable winches and/or floats with the camera lens in the center of the pipe. The Contractor shall provide whatever means necessary to ensure a steady rate of movement through the sewer. 5. When the camera is stopped or backed up, the reason for stopping and/or backing shall be recorded. The center-to-center distances between consecutive manholes shall be cable measured and recorded to the nearest foot as they are encountered. Start each run showing the manhole entrance to the pipe from the center of the starting manhole to the end showing the center of the ending manhole. B. Video Recoding "Data view" or equivalent type of feature shall be incorporated into the TV video recording. Data shall include, but not be limited to, date of inspection, manhole sections, and real time footage counter. This data shall appear in the lower center of the picture frame, shall be legible, and not interfere with the content of the recording. Data view for observations shall be shown intermittently shown on the screen and include name of the sewer, the names or numbers of the manholes involved, the direction of travel, (i.e., from Manhole No. 1 to Manhole No. 2), and a description of conditions in the sewer and service laterals connections as they are encountered. A. Video files shall be provided in. Mp4 format B. H264 compression C. Web browser (Firefox & Chrome) compatible video for use with POSM software. D. Video recording should include entire inspection of pipe segment from start manhole to ending manhole
