This Contract consists of the statewide repair/maintenance of damaged and/or deteriorated sections of fencing, guardrail, attenuator and other protective devices and replacement of obsolete and/or substandard guardrail and other protective devices with all incidentals as directed by the Engineer. This work includes maintenance repairs to fencing, guardrail, attenuator and other protective devices at crash locations and as directed by the Engineer. Most of the work is to repair or replace fencing, guardrail, attenuator and other protective devices in kind, except when the fencing, guardrail, attenuator and other protective devices are found to be substandard. Also included is traffic control on all roadways in conjunction with this work. Locations of work for this Contract include fencing, guardrail, attenuators and other protective devices along State roads and properties as directed by the Engineer. This Contract also includes the removal, replacement and installation of guardrail along Interstate Route 95 from the Connecticut State Line to Exit 18 (2025 HSIP Roadway Departure Contract) Rhode Island Contract No. 2025-CS-058, Federal Aid Project No. STP-9999(084). This work also includes traffic control; including maintenance and movement of traffic protective devices, erosion controls, plantable soil and seeding. Provisions specific to this portion of the Contract are noted herein.
