West Chester University of Pennsylvania seeks to renew CampusESP, a third-party software solution that enables the University to engage parents and families as partners in their students' success. Research demonstrates that family support is a significant factor in student persistence and graduation. The University requires a comprehensive, centralized platform that facilitates communication, engagement, and measurable impact on student success. CampusESP Parent Portal by CampusESP, Inc. is the only commercially available solution that meets these requirements. Unlike general communication tools or customer relationship management systems, CampusESP was designed exclusively for higher education family engagement and uniquely integrates parent alerts, personalized communication through a web portal and customized weekly newsletters, and data analytics on parent involvement. These functions allow the University to understand, manage, and leverage the impact of family engagement on student outcomes in a way no other system provides. In addition, CampusESP offers features that cannot be replicated by other platforms, including single sign-on access, configurable student tiles, and automated alerts tied to student data. No other vendor offers a parent engagement platform with this combination of higher-education-specific functionality, student success orientation, and integrated analytics. CampusESP has been used at WCU since 2021 and is integrated into WCU’s student tiles on the WCU website.
