OCWD is seeking a qualified consultant to provide design-only services for enhancing the site’s capacity to host educational tours. The project is focused solely on the development of conceptual designs and cost estimates for future improvements. Designs for the following improvements are sought: 1. Improved signage on the following topics: a. Historical use of wetlands at nitrogen treatment ponds b. Groundwater recharge process c. Invasive species removal d. Forecast Informed Reservoir Operations (FIRO) and water conservation behind Prado Dam e. OCWD’s environmental stewardship efforts, including habitat mitigation, the recovery of the least Bell’s vireo, and efforts to protect the Santa Ana sucker 2. Improved seating for visitor tour groups 3. Improved shading for visitor tour groups 4. Outdoor bathroom facilities 5. Water bottle refilling stations 6. Outdoor audiovisual capabilities 7. Improved usage of taxidermy displays and native plant garden
