Contractor(s) will be required to receive notifications and/or documents in electronic format through an electronic file exchange as established between applicable vendors and City departments. The City will provide Contractor(s) with a service address for document(s) to be served. Contractor(s) must be able to serve or attempt to serve documents at various hours of the day, night, and on weekends. The basic flat fee for successful service shall include document preparation, service or attempted service and filing of all documents. The basic flat fee for the primary proposal shall include up to three (3) attempts of service. All summonses shall be served in accordance with Rule 4.1 of the Arizona Rules of Civil Procedure. Contractor’s period for serving or attempting to serve Defendant(s) shall begin after the document is transmitted electronically to Contractor(s) and cease in sufficient time to allow for the Affidavit of Service/attempted service documentation to be filed with the requesting City Department as set forth below. It is anticipated that this time frame will allow Contractor(s) approximately thirty (30) calendar days to serve the required documents. If the Defendant is removed from the service list prior to service by Contractor(s), Contractor(s) will not be paid for this service. Contractor(s) shall meet with authorized City representative(s) to agree upon a format for the Affidavit of Service/attempted service forms.
