The Department seeks information on best practices or innovative models of programs to develop family-friendly visiting and resource centers on state correctional facilities to ensure the well-being of children, supportive parenting education of the parent who are incarcerated, and development of healthy relationships of those parents with their children and their children's caregivers: • Curriculum of programs and services for children, youth, and caregivers/families of incarcerated individuals. • Curriculum of programs and services for parents who are incarcerated and desire to reestablish or strengthen relationships with their children and children's caregivers. • Recommended performance measures due to an absence of and/or insufficient available data of child well-being/school readiness and success. • Creative and/or innovative ways to reduce generational trauma and support the child's well-being. • Ways to help caregivers/families with children of incarcerated individuals. • Reconnect fathers to the lives of their children. • Promotion of co-parenting and educating about childhood trauma. • Make safer and more resilient communities by getting fathers involved in their children's lives. • Culturally responsive practices and/or programs that can be implemented to increase parent and child relationships. • Outcome measures/strategiesto evaluate program efficacy such asrecidivism. • Estimated costs per child and/or family member to operate a center including appropriate staffing and supervision. • Advocacy services/resourcesfor families who are at risk of or are in crisis. • Necessary experience, qualification, accreditation, and/or licensure to deliver child and family programs and services.
