The Health Education and Research Building, a three-story, 48,347-gross-square-foot facility in McAllen, Texas, will be the third building at Texas A&M University's Higher Education Center at McAllen (HECM). Located north of the campus's planned central quad, it will provide student support, education, and research spaces to address regional demand for public health and pharmacy education, as well as general academic and student success needs. The building will include flexible classrooms, specialized teaching and pharmacy labs, clinical skills areas, faculty offices, administrative suites, and a library with study and collaboration spaces. Additional student-focused amenities will feature a testing center, makerspace, innovation studio, lounges, and gathering areas, all integrated with ongoing campus infrastructure, utilities, and parking.
