1. Base bid – Water Treatment Plant Improvements: The contractor shall construct upgrades to the water treatment plant as shown or described in the drawings and specifications, including demolition and replacement of water distribution system components including piping, pumps, valves, controls and control panels, electrical equipment, and mechanical components. The contractor shall construct temporary water connections, as well as construct a community watering point. 2. Additive Alternate #1 – Southeast Water Loop and Additional Pavement Repair: The contractor shall replace the southeast water distribution loop including demolition of approximately 2500 linear feet (LF) of water main and service lines, installation of approximately 6948 LF of 6x12 water main, 71 standard residential water services, 11 hydrants, and 1 large diameter water service. The contractor shall also repair unpaved roads and approximately 4,500 square yard (SY) of paved roads damaged during construction of these improvements, including pavement repair from the water treatment plant to the bridge over Kouwegok Slough. The contractor shall install a temporary water bypass system during construction. The contractor shall handle and dispose of any contaminated soil. 3. Additive Alternate #2 – West Loop: The contractor shall replace the west water distribution loop including demolition of approximately 1,870 LF of water main and services, installation of 7,089 LF of 6x12 water mains, 65 standard residential water services, and 13 hydrants. The contractor shall repair unpaved and approximately 1,900 SY of paved roads damaged during construction of these improvements. The contractor shall install a temporary water bypass system during construction. The contractor shall handle and dispose of any contaminated soil. 4. Additive Alternate #3 – Northeast Loop: The contractor shall replace the northeast water distribution loop including demolition of approximately 1,580 LF of water mains and service lines, installation of approximately 7,873 LF of 6x12 water mains, 87 standard residential water services, 14 hydrants, and 3 large diameter water services. The contractor shall repair unpaved and approximately 1,700 SY of paved roads damaged during construction of these improvements. The contractor shall install a temporary water bypass system during construction. The contractor shall handle and dispose of any contaminated soil. 5. Additive Alternate #4 – FAA Loop: The contractor shall replace the FAA water distribution loop including demolition of approximately 1,540 LF of water mains and service lines, installation of approximately 5,653 LF of 6x12 water mains, 667 LF of 10x15 water mains, 25 standard residential water services, 10 hydrants, and 2 large diameter water services. The contractor shall repair unpaved and approximately 1,100 SY of paved roads damaged during construction of these improvements. The contractor shall install a temporary water bypass system during construction. The contractor shall handle and dispose of any contaminated soil.
