Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. The Agency hereby provides notice that it intends to enter into a sole source contract per S.C. Code Ann. §11-35-1560 with Vendor for the following supplies, services, information technology, or construction: In accordance with §11-35-1560 (A) of the SC Consolidated Procurement Code, it is the intent of the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) to award without competition, a sole source contract in accordance with Regulation 19-445.2105 (B) (5) to Standard BioTools Inc for the purchase of two Performance Plus Service Plans. Purpose and Objectives: The Medical University of South Carolina’s Hollings Cancer Center Flow Cytometry and Cell Sorting Shared Resource Laboratory requires two performance service plans for their Helios and Hyperion Imaging Mass Cytometer (S/N#: D16-0164 and S/N#:1080010120H). Standard BioTools Inc. is the proprietary manufacturer of these instruments which can only be serviced and maintained by Standard BioTools Inc. As the sole provider, only Standard BioTools Inc is authorized to offer training and maintenance for these mass cytometry systems, which include unique patented technologies. Sole Source Justification: No other companies are approved to service or maintain these instruments, making Standard BioTools Inc. the exclusive source for these services.
