Item 1: Switch tie and crosstie install 1. Install the following switch ties: 4-9’, 5-10’, 4-11’, 1-14’, 3-15’, and 2-16’. The track will be gauged as needed after the ties are installed. 2. The frog located in this switch needs welding on the wing rail. The frog will be grinded and welded as needed to correct the defect. 3. All track bolts will be tightened and replaced as needed within the working area. 4. Replace (11) 6”x8” grade 3 crossties. These ties will be installed in between the N&S property line off of the switch to the railroad crossing. 5. The track will be gauged as needed where the new ties are being installed. 6. All bolts will be tightened or replaced as needed in the working area. 7. (1) crossing timber will be replaced in the crossing near the N&S switch. This timber is a 6"x8" crosstie cut down to 8'-1". 8. All disturbed track during the tie install will be hand dressed to eliminate all tripping hazards. All old ties and OTM will be disposed of offsite. Item 2: Crossties and Gauging Track 1. Install (7) crossties in each 39’ section of track. There are (10) rails that need ties and gauging. (70) 6”x8” grade 3 crossties will be installed. 2. The track will be gauged as needed when the new ties are being installed. 3. All bolts will be tightened or replaced as needed in the working area. 4. All disturbed track during the tie install will be hand dressed to eliminate all tripping hazards.
