The scope of the services requested under this RFP is a single source program which will comprehensively provide the leadership personnel, management services, policies and procedures, purchasing, and all functions of operational capacity with the department of food services and clinical nutrition services (FNS). All management salaries, food costs, direct expenses, and other departmental operating costs will be included in the proposal price. There may be specific costs which may be itemized and billed to UMC as pass-through costs with no mark-up applied. This will include management of UMC-employed hourly food services employees, registered dietitians, and UMC-employed supervisors. Please see attached organizational chart. All non-supervisory UMC employees within this department are covered by a collective bargaining agreement and the awarded PROPOSER will be required to adhere to the terms of such agreement. Additionally, vending services may be negotiated at a later date if requested by OWNER. V. PROPOSER’ S RESPONSIBILITIES 1) The successful Proposer is responsible for all start-up costs related to commencement of an agreement, as applicable. 2) The successful Proposer shall ensure compliance with applicable UMC policies and procedures. 3) Proposer shall obtain and maintain all federal, state, and local licenses and permits required to perform the services on behalf of UMC. 4) UMC has the right to request the removal of any staff hired by awarded Proposer, with reasonable dissatisfaction. 5) Proposer will waive any current contractual language preventing hiring, or charging a fee for hiring, of current employees and current supervisory employees...
