The inventory of the forested stands must be done according to the following criteria: 1. Stands are preferred to be delineated in an ArcGIS type program (ArcMap, ArcView, Easy GIS, or another compatible format). There will be no stands greater than 40 acres. 2. Each stand will have a minimum of one plot per three (3) acres, with no less than three (3) plots per stand. 3. Plots are to be randomly located and of variable radius using a basal area factor 10 prism. 4. Consider putting in additional plots if the stand will be managed under an uneven-aged system, riparian corridor, or stand conditions are highly variable. 5. Inventory data shall include "in" trees by species, diameter, merchantable volume, and condition. Data shall be recorded using a digital data recorder. All information in the inventory program will be filled in completely or as designated by the Resource Forester. 6. Stand notes must contain the following and be filled out completely for each stand: - Evaluation of regeneration including species, density, and age (i.e., early germinant, intermediate, or advanced). - Silvicultural management prescription. - Stand history (i.e., wind damage, previous harvest or other silvicultural management, fires, decline, etc.)...
