The project consists of installing approximately 4,800 linear feet of new bumper rails on the walls located in the halls, elevator lobbies, and kitchen area of the Bexar County Adult Detention Center. Also installing approximately thirty- six (36) corner guards. In base bid, including ADC, ADC South Tower and ADC Annex • Installing approximately 4,800 linear feet of new wall bumper rails in the corridors of the ADC basement, second, fourth, and sixth floors. • Replace old metal corner guards in the ADC basement hallway and kitchen area, and replace them with new corner guards • Replace existing wood bumper railing in hallways with new stainless steel bumper railing, where found • Install Diamond plating sheet metal on walls of kitchen receiving area as indicated on plans Stainless Steel Corner Guard • Furnish and install stainless steel diamond plated corner guards, • Size: 8 inch wide x 8 inch wide x 6 feet high (typical unless noted otherwise) • Location: ADC Kitchen corners at columns, Hallway Corners, ADC Annex and other locations noted • Secure with tamper proof screws into the masonry • Refer to the technical data and specifications of the wall guards to serve as the basis of design.
