Under the guidance and direction of Rebuild, the selected vendor will work directly with Rebuild participants, training providers, and contractors to ensure that participants are able to arrive at their designated worksites in time to successfully clock in for the day and start work. Skilled trades teams often start the workday early in the morning (making it potentially difficult for participants to use SEPTA for sites that are far away). Additionally, many of the union halls are in the far northeast of Philadelphia, an area of the city that is underserved by frequent, reliable public transportation. For most participants, construction sites will usually be within city limits, with the potential for occasional job sites to be in surrounding counties. Specific activities and services may include: a) Coordinating with individual participants to ensure transportation to their designated job sites, which may change over time b) Providing transportation for program participants to construction sites for school visits, industry tours and other special events (this need is anticipated to occur on an occasional basis and will be scheduled in advance) c) Other transportation-related activities as agreed to between the Consultant and Rebuild
