Section 1- Description of Work / Requirements: Work Description: Replace the existing asphalt shingle roofing on the Fort AP Hill RV Center (Building 1334) - Building 1334 serves as a laundry/support facility for the adjacent RV park. It is 1-story building with an approximate 9’-0” eave height, totaling 1,832 square feet (55’-6” x 33’) in size. The existing roof structure is wood construction, spaced 24” on center with 5/8” thick OSB sheathing and a 4/12 pitch. The existing roofing has exceeded its life expectancy and requires replacement of matching construction and methods. General Requirements: 1. All materials shall be per installed according to the manufacturer’s instructions, specifications, and recommendations. 2. The Contractor shall submit material cutsheets for the roofing and all other associated installation materials for approval prior to ordering any materials. 3. All materials and methods shall comply with industry standards, requirements, and applicable codes, to include but not limited to the National Roofing Contractors Association construction details.
