The provision, installation, and support of automated prescription dispensing kiosks designed to enable secure, point-of-care medication pickup in UTMB facilities. The vendor’s solution should address the following capabilities at a minimum: 2.2.1 Core Functionality • Dispensing of prescription medications directly to patients at the point of care. • Prepares prescriptions at the time of order entry, rather than dispensing pre-packaged medications based on existing orders. • Acceptance of e-prescriptions from licensed prescribers. • Ability to stock and dispense medications in original manufacturer packaging with compliant labeling. • Support for both prescription and select over-the-counter medications as defined by UTMB’s formulary. • Ability to process patient payments, including co-pays, cash, and major credit/debit cards.
