The LCPC is gathering information on contractors available to source, deliver, and plant thirty-two (32) balled and burlapped trees at the Silo Park Fields in Jeffersonville, located at VT Route 15 and Route 108 in Jeffersonville, VT next to the Union Bank. The trees must be a minimum of two-inch (2”) caliper in size. The following species and quantities are needed: (6) Acer rubrum (Red Maple) (14) Amelanchier spp. (Serviceberry) (3) Betula nigra (River Birch) (3) Picea abies (Norway Spruce) (6) Quercus macrocarpa (Burr Oak) or Quercus bicolor (Swamp White Oak); The trees should be delivered and planted at the proper depth, with wood chips or bark mulch at the base of each tree. Trees will need to be thoroughly watered upon planting. Watering bags will also be provided and need to be installed. Trees planted by the selected contractor should be guaranteed for a period of one year after planting.
