Texas State University seeks to obtain proposals for Sludge Removal services. The minimum requirements and specifications for the services are set forth below including, but not limited to: • Sludge removal from cooling towers, • Pump out oil/water and solids from separators, • Clean out Contech units (Storm Interceptors), • Pump water from elevator pits. Cooling Towers 1.2.1 The cooling towers are cleaned out during the colder months from November through March to remove the sludge that has accumulated in them. The cooling towers are located at the main Central Plant, East Chill Plant, West Chill Plant, South Plant and Southeast (Jowers) Plant on the San Marcos campus and Round Rock CUB on the Round Rock campus. The cooling tower sludge will be characterized for disposal by Texas State University prior to the pump out.
