The City of Fort Myers (CITY) owns and operates two regional advanced wastewater treatment facilities (WWTF), the Central Advanced Wastewater Treatment Facility (CAWWTF) and South Advanced Wastewater Treatment Facility (SAWWTF). The facilities receive wastewater from a collection system that consists of 418-miles of pipe (260-miles of gravity mains and 158-miles of force mains) that range in diameter from 4-inches to 54-inches in diameter. Flow is conveyed through the force mains by 212 wastewater lift stations. . The City of Fort Myers (City) requests submittals from interested and qualified Respondents to perform services related to the hardening and repair of 23 critical lift stations damaged by Hurricane Ian. The CITY also desires to install permanent back-up generators at 22 of these lift station sites. It is the intent of this scope to provide the CITY with flexibility to utilize either of the two grant programs for funding the project’s construction. Therefore, the design shall incorporate all grant requirements identified for both the FEMA HMGP and FDEP Hurricane Stormwater and Wastewater Assistance Grant Program.
