PWC is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the procurement of approximately 300 Ethernet switches for use as a compatible component within a “recloser package,” consisting of a recloser, bypass switch assembly, a protection relay, and an Ethernet switch. These packages will support the installation of automated protection equipment along PWC’s electric distribution system as part of its Demand Reduction and Reliability Improvement Initiative. Deployment is planned over a three-year period from the project start date, with installations expected to proceed at a pace of approximately 50 packages per quarter once deployment begins. Quantities are grant project estimates only and may be ordered in phases over the contract term. This project is anticipated to be partially funded through a federal grant and is subject to all applicable federal grant requirements.
