3.1 The Selected Contractor shall be responsible for all elements associated with the safe demolition of the structure, as described in Sections 4 and 5 below. Bids that do not include all services will not be considered complete and will not be considered by the LBA. In general, the scope of services includes, but is not necessarily limited to: • Contacting Miss Dig and ensuring wrecking clearances have been obtained. • Submitting abatement and demolition notices pursuant to state requirements. • Securing appropriate permits and inspections. • Cutting and capping water and sewer lines. • Asbestos abatement and universal waste removal and disposal. • Demolishing the structure including some or all of the demolition managed as asbestos-containing in compliance with regulatory requirements. • Removing and disposing of onsite storage containers (drums and totes). • With noted exception, removing concrete foundations and building footings., and surface and buried (if found) debris. The noted exception to concrete foundation removal is preserving the concrete pad where the garage was attached. The concrete block walls of the former garage shall be removed, but the property owner wishes to retain the concrete slab/pad. There is a photo attached although heavy vegetation does obstruct the view. All asphalt driveways shall be preserved all the way up to the building foundation.
