● Remove all loose and unsound concrete in the vicinity of the damaged concrete. ● Mechanically clean all exposed surfaces of reinforcing bars. ● Replace or supplement any steel where corrosion has caused sufficient section loss to impair the member's strength. ● Apply a corrosion-inhibiting coating to all exposed surfaces of reinforcing bars. ● Installing a localized cathodic protection system, such as embedded sacrificial anodes, may be appropriate in some instances. ● Restore the original profile of the concrete member with an appropriate cementitious patching material suitable to the exposure, configuration, and extent of the damaged area. ● Epoxy-inject any adjacent cracking to the patched area (0.002 inches or greater). ● Repair non-structural items such as coatings (paint) and sealants impacted by the repair.
