The work includes selective dismantling and removal of existing wood shelving units and furnishing and installing new millwork cabinets and wall paneling in an area of the Local History Room. The existing shelving was fabricated and installed in a building renovation in approximately 1998; and is not historical shelving. It is intended for new millwork to match the 1998 shelving. The wall paneling is intended to match the configuration of older, historical paneling in the opposite end of the room, while the finish will match the 1998 shelving and the new cabinets under this Proposal. The new millwork cabinets are to partially enclose metal flat files and lateral files which are owner furnished and on-site fore reference.
