The City of Aiken proposes to complete the design and implementation of the Croft Mill Sewer Basin (Reference Appendix B- Preliminary Engineering Report) which include the following: • Focus on capacity constraints within the gravity sewer system caused by inconsistent pipe sizing and aging infrastructure. Design and construct a parallel gravity sewer line that will provide additional capacity, increase resiliency, and allow for future rehabilitation of the existing line without service disruption. • Address long term needs at the Shiloh Heights Lift Station and the associated force main. Construct a parallel force main to enhance system reliability and evaluate and develop Lift station upgrades to support the improvements. The final design deliverables must have the highest level of credibility based upon data-driven, expert analysis. Therefore, the City of Aiken seeks an experienced firm that is familiar with these types of projects and can work within the intent of the program. The selected firm will provide comprehensive data analysis and design and project support and update to City Council and the community.
