Swampscott Public Schools seeks proposals from qualified architectural firms to design the Window Replacement at the Swampscott Middle School at 207 Forest Ave, Swampscott, MA 01907. The selected firm will design a window replacement project anticipated to replace all windows in the existing building. The existing window system is beyond its useful life and experiencing infiltration in multiple locations. While this is primarily a window replacement project, Swampscott Public Schools wishes to also understand the condition and long-term viability of the existing building facade. The selected firm will be expected to fully study the exterior building envelope during the Schematic Design phase of the project. The Town intends to hire the preferred respondent to: • Study and provide a detailed report on the existing condition of the building’s window system, building facade & envelope. • Develop full construction documents for the window replacement project. • Develop a detailed project schedule and logistics plan • Provide a detailed cost estimate after schematic design, during design development, and after 100% CD • Manage the bidding process under MGL c. 149 with a preference for electronic bidding • Provide construction administration service throughout the project through completion
