Scope of Work The selected contractor shall be responsible for the following: • Site measurements and equipment sizing appropriate for each gym space. • Providing and installing rooftop HVAC units with humidity control capabilities, these RTU’s may be requested to be set on the ground depending upon the installation site. These spaces do not have any previous air conditioning. • Furnishing and installing new spiral ductwork necessary for proper air distribution in the gymnasium areas. • All electrical connections, controls, and related appurtenances required for a complete and operational system. • Coordination with the owner’s representative and school facilities personnel. • This equipment will need to be connected to our building energy management system, this will be required to be coordinated with PANCO, Mid-Del School’s energy management contractor. Eli Hurdle – PANCO, ehurdle.panco@gmail.com Equipment Requirements • HVAC systems must be rooftop unit (RTU) type. • Units must be capable of humidity control, suitable for large, high-occupancy gymnasium environments. • All equipment and materials must meet or exceed applicable local codes and standards. • If the unit size requirement is at or less than 20 tons, Allied Commercial HVAC Systems is preferred. Any units above 20 tons, Carrier or Trane are preferred. If it is more cost effective to use 2 – 20 ton units that would be the preference.
