It is the intent of this specification to describe services for acceptance, treatment, processing, handling, storage, and disposal of municipal solid waste and construction debris and green waste disposal. Solid waste covered by these specifications shall include residential waste, construction waste, grass clippings, yard waste, brush, and leaf waste. The City shall deliver the solid waste and construction debris to the landfill or processing site in approved vehicles. The solid waste and construction debris will become the property and responsibility of the successful proposer. The City operates Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., unless holidays fall within this schedule. It is preferred for the landfill or processing plant to be open a minimum of five (5) days per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. It is also desirable to have hours on Saturday, from at least 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The landfill or processing plant shall have all-weather roads and approved equipment to pull a vehicle out if it becomes stuck. The proposershall provide the City with a cell phone number and email address for the points of contact. Phone calls made by the City shall be returned by the proposer within one hour and emails shall be responded to within 24 hours. If a new person is assigned as a point of contact for the City, the City shall be notified within 24 hours of the change. The proposer shall provide no later than 24 hours advance notice prior to emergency closure.
