The Terminal 18 (T-18) Shore Power Project will install shore power at Berths 1 and 3 of T18. The scope of this project includes installing a new electrical feeder from Seattle City Light substation N1 to Berth 1. A new feeder will also be installed from Seattle City Light substation N2 to Berth 3. To install the new feeders, new conduit will need to be installed by means of trenching and horizontal directional drilling. New shore power substations will be installed at Berths 1 and 3. From the new substations, feeders will be installed to provide power to shore power vaults and outlets located on the pier’s bull rail. Berth 1 will receive two shore power vaults and outlets, and Berth 3 will receive three shore power vaults and outlets. After completion of the shore power installation, the system will be tested and commissioned to ensure the system is functioning properly and as designed. The Terminal will continue active cargo operations during the duration of this Project.
