2.1.1 The entire roadway (15 to 20 ft.) will be graded to smooth the surface and crowned with a 2%-4% slope with all existing depressions filled and grass and debris removed. Vegetation within the roadway shall be chemically treated with the appropriate herbicide to prevent regrowth. The vendor will supply the appropriate herbicide and applications shall be consistent with herbicide labels. Crown should be offset from center on curves in the grade. The Contractor will obtain instructions from the FWC Project Manager on where to deposit excess material, if any. 2.1.2 Prior to grading roadways, areas that are rutted or have potholes, mud holes, or washouts, will be smoothed and leveled. 2.1.3 The Contractor will use DOT certified lime rock road base to patch rutted roadways, potholes, washouts, and mud holes.
