The 6,500 gross square foot Research Support Building will house the Hazardous Waste Management program on the Kennesaw Campus. The facility will support and sustain university academic and research programs by providing compliant, efficient, and secure space for the collection, handling, and temporary storage of hazardous waste materials. The program is led by KSU’s Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) department and must meet all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The selected team will be responsible for developing design documentation (schematic design through construction documents), permitting, construction administration, and delivering a fully functional facility that prioritizes safety, operational efficiency, and environmental stewardship. Comment by Monica Ridenbaugh: @Julie McDaniel Anticipating a future RFI... I expect the interiors on this one will be fairly straightforward, but will the supporting design team be responsible for proposing storage layout solutions and associated FFE to support those needs (KSU to procure)? Comment by Julie McDaniel: Yes@Monica Ridenbaugh Yes - you got it
