ITEM 1: CLASS A CONCRETE This Item shall be a Portland Cement concrete in accordance with NYSDOT Specification Section "501- PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE-GENERAL" as listed for "Class A". ITEM 2: CLASS C CONCRETE This Item shall be a Portland Cement concrete in accordance with NYSDOT Specification Section "501-PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE-GENERAL" as listed for "Class C". ITEM 3: CLASS D CONCRETE This Item shall be a Portland Cement concrete in accordance with NYSDOT Specification Section "501-PORTLAND CEMENT-CONCRETE-GENERAL" as listed for "Class D". ITEM 4: CLASS E CONCRETE This Item shall be a Portland Cement concrete in accordance with NYSDOT Specification Section "501-PORTLAND CEMENT-CONCRETE-GENERAL" as listed for "Class E", with the following exceptions: 1. Coarse Aggregate: Coarse aggregate used in this Item shall be NYSDOT approved materials. The type of coarse aggregate shall be crushed gravel; crushed stone; crushed slag or *traprock (gabbro), as directed by the Division Director according to the requirements of the specific project. All aggregates shall be free of chert and flint and suitable for use in both exposed concrete and concrete for structures.
