The Pugmill must meet the minimum specifications listed: A. The mixing shaft must be made of heavy-duty square tubing and must be flanged for easy removal. B. The square tubing must provide a large flat surface to weld on paddle shanks. High-chrome cast iron tips must be bolted onto the shanks, and the tips must be reversible for wear. C. The contour liners must be ¼” AR235 plates. D. The pugmill box must be ¼” plate mounted on a wide flange beam frame, with motors mounted on a ¾” plate cross member. The pugmill assembly must be welded together, with a bolted-on discharge end for ease of shaft/bearing replacement. E. Large paddle tips, mixer length, shaft speed, travel circle, tip angle, and horsepower must combine for mixing purposes. F. Heavy-duty double-tapered roller bearings in pillow blocks must be mounted on the drive end, with outboard mounted ball bearings on the carrier end. G. Each shaft shall be powered by its own electric motor and reducer. H. All replacement parts shall be available from bearing supply companies, except for the paddle tips. I.
