MATERIAL TESTING SERVICES 1.0 Any testing agency and/or laboratory submitting a proposal for the services necessary for sampling, testing and/or analysis of bituminous concrete shall have their procedures and equipment inspected at least every two years by AASHTO Materials Reference Laboratory of the National Bureau of Standards. The AASHTO Materials Reference Laboratory according to their tour schedules may modify the two-year inspection. Copies of the AASHTO inspection reports shall be provided in response to this RFP. 2.0 Any testing agency and/or laboratory submitting a proposal must be in possession of a certification of accreditation from the AASHTO Materials Reference Laboratory in order to provide the required services for sampling, testing and/or analysis. A current listing of all applicable AASHTO test method certification of accreditation held shall be provided in response to this RFP. 3.0 A copy of the certificates of accreditation shall be submitted in response to this RFP. 4.0 The FIRM’s technician that performs the testing shall be certified by the Society of Asphalt Technologists of New Jersey, Inc. as an asphalt technologist. A copy of certifications for staff shall be submitted in response to this RFP. 5.0 Once awarded, the FIRM shall be given a minimum of 24-hour notice by Camden County or the Camden County representative for on-site concrete, asphalt plant inspection, on-site asphalt pavement material testing and inspection services, and nuclear density testing of backfill. This notice time does not apply to asphalt core work.
