Maximus US Service, Inc. as the current vendor is the only vendor that can provide these services without interruption for an abbreviated timeframe which the Agency pursues a competitive procurement. SCDHHS is planning a strategic change to move the current Beneficiary contact model to a new unified service center strategy to provide improved customer contact center services, which has been approved by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. SCDHHS will soon release a Request for Proposals (RFP) to procure the unified customer service center, which will include the services currently provided by the Enroliment Broker. Extending the current contract as a sole source will allow for the continuation of necessary services in compliance with federal requirements until these services can be appropriately transitioned to the new unified service center.
