The Brazos Valley Council of Governments (BVCOG), is soliciting proposals from experienced and qualified vendors to provide transportation planning services to create and update the Brazos Valley 5-year Regional Coordinated Transportation Plan. The update will be prepared with the active involvement of, and consultation with, public, private, and non-profit transportation providers, transportation users, and stakeholders throughout the Brazos Valley. This plan will comply with requirements outlined in the TxDOT Coordination Plan Guidebook and align with state and federal regulations, including Federal Transit Administration Section 5310. The plan provides strategies for meeting the local needs, prioritizes funding, and identifies strategies to improve coordination between transportation providers. The goal of the 5-year Regional Coordinated Transportation Plan is to ensure a connected network of transportation services to serve the needs of the people within the Brazos Valley area for the years of 2027-2031. The selected consultant will perform the following tasks, per the schedules that are contained in the TxDOT Coordination Plan Guidebook (see especially Timeline 2 in Appendix M). The schedule is subject to change per discussion at the kick-off meeting. The consultant will be using the tools and methodologies described in the Guidebook and its appendices.
