Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. The State of Oregon, acting by and through its Oregon Military Department (OMD), intends to issue a Purchase Order(s) (PO) to Patriot Products for parts, components, and repair services necessary to upgrade the bullet traps. Purchases will include but not be limited, parts, pieces, components, and upgrades to meet current Army operational standards. The Shoot house at Camp Rilea Training Center has 22 older model Patriot Product LLC bullet traps that are currently rated for the legacy 5.56 mm ammunition. The current standard Army issue ammunition is the 5.56 mm EPR. Patriot Products LLC has developed an Upgrade Kit which will convert their older model bullet traps into traps that meet AR 385-63 safety requirements for the 5.56 mm EPR ammunition.. This sole source justification applies to the purchase of parts required to upgrade existing Patriot Products bullet traps at the Camp Rilea Training Center Shoot House to be suitable for use with 5.56mm EPR ammunition. The parts include but are not limited to BT3048-MG Upgrade kit for EPR ammunition, replacement impact plate with ballistic mass, upgrade support quadrants, and upgrade frag collection tray, replacement impact plate with upgrade ballistic mass, upgrade quadrant supports, upgrade fragment collection tray.
