The EMS Medical Director will provide clinical advice to the County first response agencies. When clinically advising a non-EMS transport agency the Medical Director will work in coordination with the EMS transport agency operating within the geographical area. Medical direction and oversight includes, but is not limited to: a. Setting and ensuring compliance with clinical patient care standards as well as dispatch medical protocols. b. Developing and implementing the protocols and standing orders under which the out-of-hospital care provider functions as defined by SEMAC, the local REMAC, local standards of care/care bundles and national best practices. c. Creating, maintaining, and supporting the process for the provision of concurrent real-time medical direction. d. Creating, maintaining, and supporting an effective process improvement program for continuous clinical care improvements. The selected Respondent will: 1. Provide a licensed and qualified EMS physician on a 24/7 basis for emergency scene response when requested, to provide direct patient care and to support clinical care for first response agencies in Monroe County. 2.
