Pump Service Specifications: a. Disassemble and inspect pump b. Blast and clean all parts c. Check bearing fits using bearing manufacturer’s data for dimensions and tolerances d. Record all bearing fits, shaft run out, and defects discovered e. Check bearing journals of shaft for concentricity f. Check bearing journals of housing for concentricity g. Check shaft for straightness h. Check impeller and wear ring, if applicable, for compliance with manufacturer’s original specifications i. Insure proper fit of impeller to shaft j. Check keyways k. Check sleeve l. Upon request, the City may direct that an anti-abrasive coating be applied to the impeller m. Balance shaft and impeller together n. Clean all mating surfaces o. Replace bearings with bearings that meet or exceed manufacturer’s recommendations p. Reassemble pump q. Check shaft run out, deflection, and endplay
