The current Stadium Road Fire Station is approximately 7,200 square feet and includes a two-bay apparatus floor, offices, day rooms, and sleeping quarters. The existing building construction type is a pre-engineered steel frame system with a brick veneer and screw down metal roof. There are currently 8 parking spaces behind the building. The proposed project includes the demolition of the current building components – down to the structural studs. A new pre-engineered truck bay addition is planned for the east end of the building, and a steel stud office addition is proposed for the west end of the building. The building will receive all new brick veneer, new metal roof , new plumbing and new HVAC systems. The addition of a fire sprinkler system is proposed. The building will be 9,500 total square feet at completion. Site work includes new parking areas, new drive areas, a new maintenance shed, and new landscaping.
