5.1 Tree at Friendship Square 16575 Bellflower Boulevard (at Belmont Street) The live tree at Friendship Square stands approximately 70 feet tall and 30 feet wide, serving as the focal point of the City's holiday décor. Each year, the community gathers here for the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on the first Friday in December, making a strong “wow” factor essential. • Lights should be installed by wrapping individual branches to emphasize the tree’s natural shape with minimal draping of lights across multiple branches. • The décor plan must include a securely reinforced, illuminated tree topper. • The City will provide power at this location. For reference, in previous years the City has used the following quantities, which covered the tree sufficiently: • Forty (40) 100-foot strands of C9 multi-colored LED lights • Approximately 300 ornaments (ranging from 12 to 36 inches) 5.2 Light Poles at Friendship Square Also located at 16575 Bellflower Boulevard There are six (6) light poles along the north and south boundaries of the main tree. • At minimum, each pole should be wrapped in illuminated garland. • The City will provide power at this location. 5.3 Bellflower Sheriff Sub-station (East Exterior) 16615 Bellflower Boulevard Located just south of Friendship Square, the east exterior of the Sub-station should complement the tree’s design aesthetic. • At minimum, the décor should include: o One (1) 3-foot lighted wreath o One (1) 6-foot strand of lighted garland on the second-floor faux balcony • The City will provide power at this location.
