Working with DESE, the selected vendor(s) will be responsible for: designing and delivering a scope and sequence for the proposed learning and support, including all trainings and on-site and virtual technical assistance; working with DESE to support the recruitment and selection of participating school and districts (potentially including webinars and outreach, etc.) and designing the size and composition of each participating team (for example: we anticipate schools or districts could select particular paraeducator-teacher partnerships to participate, along with school-level and district-level special education administrators to support the systems-building around strong paraeducator-teacher partnerships); providing the sequence of trainings, coaching, and technical assistance for multiple stakeholder groups (note: not all school or district teams need support in all these areas), including but not limited to the following topic areas: Building special education teacher skills/knowledge about specific disabilities, including but not limited to: developing deeper understandings of specific disabilities and how to effectively support students in the classroom; helping to improve educator practice through observation, coaching, and feedback structures Building and sustaining paraeducator and general education teacher partnerships, including but not limited to: building paraeducator and general education teacher knowledge and capacity to provide high-quality, evidence-based instruction to students with disabilities in an inclusive classroom, including strategies to support specific disabilities in their classroom...
