The City of Abbeville is seeking Proposals from qualified firms to supply Electrical Distribution Engineering Services for the City’s Electrical Grid. 1.2. The City of Abbeville electric system serves customers within the city limits of Abbeville, in limited areas around the City, some rural areas around Lake Secession and Lake Russell, and the Town of Lowndesville. 1.3. The City has 8 substations and approximately 175 miles of distribution lines. 1.4. System voltage is 2,400/4, 160 volts with some 7,200 volt single phase lines. 1.5. The City provides electricity to approximately 3,400 customers. 1.6. Please read all requirements of this request carefully. Scope of Services Required: Details of the project will be decided through meetings with the selected firm and City and may include but are not limited to distribution engineering, substation engineering, and planning studies.
