The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) Children’s Services Administration (CSA), Division of Juvenile Justice requests to enter into negotiation with the University of Cincinnati Research Institute (UCRI) in affiliation with the University of Cincinnati Corrections Institute (UCCI) to implement evidence-based programming for juvenile justice involved youth at State run Child Caring Institutions (CCI). This system improvement will assist in preventing crime, reducing recidivism and improving outcomes by providing evidence-based treatment services. UCCI will oversee the development and implementation of an evidence-based program model using its Cognitive Behavioral Interventions approach to treatment. They will provide training and coaching to State of Michigan employees and provide a framework for quality assurance.
