The Village is seeking a water system analysis that looks at a new water supply from our western boundaries, presumably along Dundee Road, the main entrance to the Village from the west. The Village will provide the consultant with all necessary data to perform the water system analysis, including the GIS data for our water distribution system. The Village anticipates that a successful proposal for a project scope of work will address the following topics, and associated deliverables: Storage Capacity o Explore the Village’s storage needs if we purchase water. o Recommend some options to build new storage. o Explore scenarios where the Village could utilize existing storage. Supporting Infrastructure o Explore the need for pump station(s). o Define sizing and capacity for new supporting infrastructure. o We can work with you on possible locations to analyze for pump stations. New Transmission Main o Explore what new water main infrastructure would be required. o Explore a potential new transmission main running to the existing reservoir to maintain existing storage. o Explore if upsizing mains throughout the system would be required. o Explore how the Village would rebalance/operate a newly supplied distribution system...
