OCRRA requests quotes for seventy-five (75) 5-gallon pail DDR kits and fifteen (15) 10-gallon drum DDR kits, and two (2) training sessions on the proper use of the kits. Training will need to be provided on location, listed below, to the deputy coordinators of the Onondaga County Department of Emergency Management (DEM) and the Syracuse Fire Department Haz-Mat chief. Training must be sufficient in detail and quality so that trainees will be able to act as “train-thetrainers” to other firefighters in departments around the county. OCRRA will require either one (1) or two (2) on-site training session(s), reserving the right to choose the quantity and pay per session at the rate disclosed on Attachment B – Pricing Sheet, “per training session.” Training will be held at a location of OCRRA’s choosing within the City of Syracuse during normal business hours. The exact date(s) and time(s) of this training must take place before December 1, 2025. OCRRA will provide 14-day advance notice of the training date(s) and time(s) due to date(s) and time(s) being dependent on the firefighters’ schedules. Training will include maximum permitted capacity of each kit size, proper packing to ensure DDR batteries do not shift into positions that cause problems in the kit, and any other information needed to ensure firefighters can use and ship the kits safely, effectively, and in line with the kits’ permitted use.
