Sedgwick County is seeking a qualified contractor to provide Medical Disposal Services and disposal boxes. The successful contractor shall: A. Provide at no additional cost all labels, packing materials, and some type of approved storage container (box). Container types shall include disposable cardboard containers with a red, puncture-resistant plastic liner of three (3) mil. thickness and an approved reusable plastic container (28 gallon or acceptable equivalent capacity) equipped with infectious waste bags. Containers and “red bags” must have all required identification, including infectious waste symbol (biohazard). Container numbers distributed to each site must exceed the estimated pickup number of containers so that a sufficient number of containers may remain in use during pick-up. Containers purchased by a County department that otherwise comply with regulated waste standards shall also be eligible for pick-up
