All correspondence must be made through the Vendor Portal. Canonsburg Borough is proposing to perform storm culvert maintenance to alleviate flooding along McBurney Road and the private properties in the area. In general, the Base Bid work consists of, but is not limited to heavy jet spraying or bucketed removal to clean sediment and debris from existing culverts at several strategic collection sites along the drainageway, removal and hauling of debris to designated location, CCTV inspection of culverts, installation of a new precast concrete trench drain across McBurney Road to capture and redirect runoff to the existing culverts and drainageway, and installation of a rip rap apron at the trench drain outlet. Added optional items to be determined by the Owner include extension of existing culverts, backfill, installation of new headwalls with trash racks, and rebuilding existing inlet grates and risers. Work will also include asphalt roadway restoration, asphalt wedge curb installation, temporary erosion and sediment controls, mobilization, maintenance and protection of traffic as necessary to perform the work. For all cleaning of culverts, Contractor shall assume 115-120 lb/ft3 debris will be cleaned out from the culverts. The McBurney Road Culvert Remediation consists of Two (2) Contracts. Contract One (1) requires the Heavy Jet Cleaning of sediments from the existing culverts. Contract Two (2) requires the installation of a twenty-four-inch sloped precast concrete trench drain in the roadway. Contract Two (2) Add Option Bid pricing is to include all elements of the Base Bid, and the installation of two contractor adjusted and measured headwalls at the culvert openings within the project worksite. Both Contracts require a 10% Bid Bond. Both contracts require 100% Performance and Payment Bonds. Contract 1 is maintenance only and does not require prevailing wage rates or a warranty bond. Contract 2 for structures requires a 100% warranty bond and state prevailing wage rates.
