1.) Removal and disposal of old condensing unit to include removal of old refrigerant. Save electrical circuits, control wiring to be reused if possible. Install new 5 Ton 15 SEER Goodman or equivalent Single Phase Heat Pump Condenser with R410a or R-32 refrigerant. Reconnect all electrical connections and control wires to have system operational at Manufacturer’s Specifications. If electrical breakers/fuse or wire size need to be upgraded, contractor will provide all in bid. 2.) The current line set may be utilized if compatible with the new system. A R-11 flush or equivalent line flush solvent will need to be utilized prior to installation of new system. If a new line set is needed, the contractor will be responsible for removal of the old set and installation of new set. 3.) Removal and disposal of old air handler. Save electrical circuits, control wiring, condensate drain piping and ductwork for reuse on new air handler if possible. Install new 5 Ton Goodman or equivalent equipment Air Handler with applicable new electric heat strips to match KW ratings of strips removed from old air handler. Reconnect all electrical wiring and control wires to have system operational at Manufacturer’s Specifications. If electrical breakers/fuses or wire size needs to be upgraded, contractor will provide all in bid. Clear existing drain lines with an approved flush solvent and ensure drain is clear prior to hookup form new air handler. Tie in existing ducts through sheet metal transitions with either interior duct insulation or duct wrap on installed transitions. 4.) Remove old thermostat. Provide and install a new Honeywell 7-day non-wi-fi programmable digital thermostat compatible with new system. Old thermostat will be retained by DMV maintenance personnel. 5.) Provide air filters to allow one filter change after installation is complete.
